High-quality USB Cables from Electropapa

USB stands for ‘Universal Serial Bus’ and is a data transfer system that allows you to connect your computer to other devices. The first USB standard was introduced at the end of the 1990s, and since then the system has been further developed and continuously improved. The data transfer speed has increased from 12 Mbit/s with USB 1.0 to 80 Gbit/s with USB4 Gen 4x2, which was released in 2022. This means that larger amounts of data can be transferred at ever-increasing speeds. In addition to data transfer, the USB interface can also be used to supply power to connected devices. At the beginning of USB development, power supply was only possible for devices with low power requirements. For example, mice and keyboards could be powered, but not hard drives or other larger devices. As development progressed, the power supply capabilities were expanded. With the USB 3.1 the maximum power is already 240 W. This means that even notebooks can now be charged via a USB C cable

In our online shop at Electropapa, you will find a wide selection of USB cables for every need. Whether you are looking for a USB printer cable or cables for your smartphone, tablet, laptop or other devices, we offer USB cables in various lengths, colours and connection types, such as USB A, USB C, micro USB and many more. We offer high-quality and reliable USB extension leads that connect your devices securely and quickly. Take a look around and find exactly the right cable for your needs!

USB A cable

The largest USB connectors, which have long been the standard for connecting USB cables to computers or power supplies, are USB A connectors. These connectors are rectangular and measure 4.5 x 12.0 mm. With a USB A plug you can connect your device or USB cable to notebooks, televisions, monitors and charging adapters. If you are looking for a USB cable to connect or charge your older device such as a tablet, camera or mobile phone to a computer, you need a USB cord that has a USB A connector on one end and a proprietary, device-specific connector on the other, e.g. a Samsung USB cable or a Garmin USB cable. This allows you to easily connect your Samsung flip phone or Garmin watch to your computer and transfer data securely and reliably.

Certain types of cameras also have their own special connectors. To connect a camera from Olympus or Kodak, for example, you need a lead with a suitable camera connector and a USB type A connector. If you are looking for a USB charging cable or data cable for a specific mobile device, it is best to use the filter function on this category page. You can then filter for cables that are exactly right for your device. Especially for cameras or USB printer cables, the cable should be specifically designed for your device: in some cases the pin assignment and, in the case of round connectors, the polarity play an important role in addition to the connector shape. We also offer Epson USB cables for the Epson Photo PC 3000Z and Epson Photo PC 3100Z compact cameras, as well as Aldi USB cables for navigation devices such as the Aldi Mikromaxx MDPNA 150 or Aldi Mikromaxx MDPNA 240T.

USB extension lead

If you use a desktop computer and the USB ports are difficult to access, you will need a USB extension cable, with a USB A plug on one end and a USB A socket on the other. This allows you to move the USB A socket from the back of your tower PC to your desk and connect storage media or printers more conveniently. USB extension cables are available in different lengths, so you can always find the cable that fits your desktop setup perfectly. This prevents tangled cables and ensures that all important connections are within easy reach.

Mini USB cable

Mini USB cables are often used to connect devices such as cameras, MP3 players, navigation systems or other mobile devices to a PC or charging adapter. The USB 2.0 mini USB plug measures 3.0 x 6.9 mm and you can use it as a Nikon USB cable, a TomTom USB cable or a Canon USB cable, for example. The USB type B 2.0 mini standard allows a data rate of up to 40 MB/s. With a USB-A to mini USB cable you can reliably transfer data such as images, films, sound files or maps for your navigation device from your computer to the external device. If you have lost the original USB cable for your device, a spare USB lead from vhbw is the ideal solution for you. For use in the car, we also offer an OBD2 to Mini USB cable. With this cable, you can power your mobile devices with a mini USB type B socket, such as your navigation device or a rear view camera, directly from the car battery. Our cables are custom-made and equipped with robust pins that will last a long time even with frequent use.

Micro USB lead

The next standard version after mini USB is micro USB. Micro USB cables have long been the most common USB cables for data transfer and power supply for mobile devices, such as smartphones, tablets, digital cameras and more. Micro USB 2.0 connectors are slightly smaller than mini USB connectors, measuring 1.8 x 6.9 mm. As with mini USB cables and USB A connectors, you must ensure that you insert the micro USB cable into the socket the right way round. The USB cable can be easily damaged if inserted the wrong way round. Some USB cables may also stop working properly over time because the charging cable USB pins shift or bend. If you still have various mobile devices with micro USB cables and need a new USB cable, you will find a large selection of suitable cables in our range. Our USB cables are high-quality, durable and manufactured to fit so precisely that they reliably charge your mobile devices and transfer data securely.

USB C cable

Completed in 2014 and adopted by the IEC in 2016, the USB C connector is intended to put an end to the multitude of different USB plugs and become the standard connection for all USB cables. In addition, it is also intended to replace the various connectors for transmitting video signals such as DVI, DisplayPort or HDMI, as well as the 3.5 mm jack plug, which has been the standard for connecting audio devices such as headphones, speakers or microphones. The USB C connector has 24 pins and is point-symmetrical, meaning that there is no top or bottom and it can be plugged in either way. This, combined with its multifunctionality, makes the USB type C connector much more user-friendly than previous USB connectors. With a USB C charging cable you can not only charge your smartphone, but also connect your laptop to monitors or a docking station, or connect headphones. It is therefore encouraging that USB C will be the standard charging connector for all mobile phones sold in the EU from 2024. Even for new iPhones, you no longer need a special Apple USB cable but can use a normal USB C charging cable to charge your device. If you still have charging adapters with a USB A connection or a Com, you will still need a USB-C to USB-A cable to charge your devices. For newer charging adapters with a USB C socket, a USB C to USB C cable is required. If you don't want to buy a complete USB cable a USB adapter can also be a solution. Adapters are usually smaller and more compact than cables and therefore easy to transport. They can be stored in bags or laptop cases easily as they don’t take up much space.

Our USB type C cables from Electropapa offer you modern and powerful connections for all your devices. Whether you have a smartphone, laptop, tablet or other devices with a USB-C port, our USB C data cables are designed to offer you maximum efficiency and security. Here you will find the USB type C cable that perfectly suits your devices and needs. For example, we also offer Apple USB C cable as replacements for your Apple AirPods Max, Apple iPad 2021 and many other models.
