Have only charged and used the battery once but so far so good. The only drawback is now you can no longer obtain Nickel Cadmium batteries (well in Europe anyway) so had to get NiMh which is not as powerful and does not have the same lifespan as NiCd or Lithium so may have to consider buying a new tool in future.
