Is the battery also compatible if it has a different capacity?
Lithium-ion batteries have a high energy density and are among the most powerful batteries. Compared to NiMH batteries, they have a low self-discharge rate and are not subject to memory effect. They do not require regular discharging so are low-maintenance. When correctly stored, these rechargeable batteries have a long service life, are durable and have a high number of possible charging cycles. Li-ion batteries are used in various portable devices with high energy requirements e.g. smartphones, notebook computers, cameras and power tools. These batteries can also be used in radio-controlled models and telecommunication applications.
Instructions for initial use of the battery:
If a battery is new, deeply discharged, or left unused for a prolonged period, it requires activating:
1. Insert the battery into the power unit and charge it.
2. Safety mode possible: charging indicator may only start after 30–60 minutes or after approx. 10 minutes. Briefly disconnect the charger and reconnect it.
Full charging time: approx. 4 hours
Maximum capacity is reached after approximately 5 charging and discharging cycles.
