Lithium manganese dioxide batteries are the most frequently used lithium batteries and have a low self-discharge rate, high energy density and long shelf life (min. 10 years). However, they can only be stored and operated within a limited temperature range and should not be charged. Li/MnO2 batteries are often used in cameras, memory and RTC backup, medical instruments, transmitters and tracking devices.
