Lithium-ion polymer batteries (often abbreviated to LiPo, Li-poly, lithium-poly and LIP) belong to the Li-ion family. They have a low self-discharge rate, are long-lasting and have a high capacity. Compared to other Li-ion batteries, the energy capacity of lithium polymer batteries is slightly lower, but they are more resistant to overcharging. The polymer-based electrolytes enable these lightweight batteries to be manufactured in a wide range of designs and shapes, making them very versatile. LiPo batteries are often use in battery electric vehicles, remote-controlled electric models, smartphones and notebook computers.

Nachtrag zum Beitrag vom 20.02.13
Nach gut einem Monat intensiver Nutzung bin ich begeistert, der Akku hält, wird nicht warm und aufgrund der Kapazität hält er ca. drei Stunden.

Die sichtbare Qualität des Akkus ist gut, das Einsetzten war kein Problem. Der Akku schließt zwar nicht so perfekt wie das Original ab, ist aber auf den ersten Blick nicht ersichtlich bzw. da unter dem Gerät, achtet man darauf sowieso nicht. Über die Laufzeit kann ich im Moment noch nichts sagen, der erste Eindruck ist aber für gut 32€ super. Er macht seinen Dienst, besser als mit einem nach sechs Jahren defekten Akku.
