Nickel metal hydride batteries are similar to nickel-cadmium cells but have a higher energy density at the same voltage (approx. twice as high). I would rate the product highly, however the problem is the lifetime of the battery - several batteries (not from Electropapa I hasten to add) failed within a year. Only time will tell as to the longevity of these. So far 5 stars.
