Lithium-Polymer Akkumulatoren (auch LiPoly- oder LiPo-Akkus genannt) gehören zur Familie der Li-Ion Akkus. Sie zeichnen sich durch eine geringe Selbstentladung, lange Haltbarkeit und hohe Kapazität aus. Im Vergleich zu anderen Li-Ion-Technologien ist der Energiegehalt von Li-Polymer Akkus etwas geringer, dafür sind sie aber widerstandsfähiger gegen Überladung. Die Elektrolyten auf Polymerbasis ermöglichen vielfältige Bauformen bei geringem Gesamtgewicht des Akkus. LiPo-Akkus finden insbesondere in Elektroautos, im Modellbau, in Smartphones oder Notebooks Anwendung.
